Each song has a completely different feel to keep with my short attention span and the need for variance. The Inspiration: I was inspired by playing some jazz with Mingo Lewis and felt the urge to write some Weather Report/ Steps Ahead kind of jazz/rock fusion. This is a piece I have been using to warm up my hands since music school days. I decided to throw in some jazz drums and upright bass to make it more contemporary. Especially because the piece is only 320+ years old.

This is the first Debussy piece that I have memorized. Always loved this song and finally had some time to learn it.

I have wanted to learn to play this song since I was 14 years old when I first heard it. I thought it was one of those songs I would never be able to play. I have worked harder on this song than any other single song in my lifetime. But after 2 weeks of memorizing and 4 months of practice, I am ready to play it for people now. This masterpiece amazes me. Every note is absolutely perfect. No other notes will work as well as the notes Chopin chose when he wrote this lovely piece almost 200 years ago. Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did learning it.

This song “Green In Blue” is from my 2021 MYNDSTREAM album “An Approaching Storm” and is available on all platforms. I was going for the minimalist approach of Erik Satie and seeing how much emotion I can create with the least amount of notes. I have had several people contact me requesting the sheet music to this song.
